Solo Blossom - Art

Solo Blossom is a visually compelling piece that shows a single flower’s bloom standing alone and upright. The flower is solitary, as suggested by the title, and appears to be strong and firmly rooted. In full bloom, the flower is captured in its prime moment, a moment full of the vigor and strength of full adulthood. The flower is painted in a single color, a cool pinkish shade.

Pink is traditionally a color associated with femininity. By choosing pink as the color for this flower, the artist gives the bloom a female aspect. The flower’s strength and independence reflects the empowerment of women in modern society. Like the flower, women can stand with independence, blooming to their fully realized, adult potential. Like the flower, a woman in her prime can stand alone with strength and confidence, and she can remain unabashedly feminine, like the flower with its pink bloom. This painting’s composition is quite simple, depicting only a flower in a fairly naturalistic manner. Yet closer inspection of Solo Blossom reveals an important and empowering underlying meaning.
