the blank stars can't bring our minds together
we move about like robots.... searching
conveniently leaving loved ones at the side line
longing for the embrace that captures all feelings
sympathizing with the unconscious need to disconnect
crying inside because you do want to belong
here
varied notions of oneness evade you
critical moments missed as you turn away
face me and the fears that have haunted you
we are all connected... this day.
